Description Suggest change

An old quarry wall which quite surprisingly had not been climbed or covered in graffiti, and it's right off the Buttermilk trail at 21st street! This short wall offers a variety of climbs including a spicy Brit-style trad highball, a grungy crack, and some pleasant corners.

The wall also has some old carvings of names and initials, perhaps of the quarrymen who once worked there. Along the base of the wall you can find Bill Shaw, M.O. Westermann Jr Sept. 2 1940, WT, DT, and SP.

Getting There Suggest change

This wall is just a couple hundred feet or so upriver of the Whileaway boulder. The Buttermilk trail passes right next to Riverside Drive, with some large rocks on the side. This is the top of the wall. Bushwhack and scramble down the hill to the base of the wall.
