Description
An overhanging rock shelter featuring boulder problems graded from V7-V13. Great area for a rainy day sesh and flat landings abound! All of the FA parties topped these lines out originally pushing them into certain highball territory. The cave features Chris Marley's outstanding Angel Eye, graded at V13 making it one of the area's most difficult problems. If you're looking for a beautiful compression style V10, Stephen Meinhold's Father Figure is a NRG region must-do.
Getting There
From the parking area, follow the main Needleseye trail for about 10 mins. After passing the short cliff-line featuring some unfortunate graffiti, the cliff breaks down here and the Angel Eye Cave will be just uphill from the main trail. As of 2020, a large old-growth tree fell onto the main trail, when you have to step over this tree, look for the cave.
