A split mountain peak that sits just atop the pass north of Ladismith. This is where the first recorded climb in South Africa took place after a man named Gustav Nefdt free soloed to the top of the peak in 1885. Currently, there are many different climbs that surround the peak as there are multiple faces, this allows for one to soak up the sun or hide in the shade depending on the weather. The climbs are generally 3-4 pitches to reach the summit and the ethic here is staunchly traditional which means no bolting, instead bring up some tat as most of the descents depend on using the tat
