Climbing on Roadside Rock is mainly concentrated on the east or west sides of the formation and so the routes are sorted as such. Depending on the time of the day you can chase the sun (or shade).

A couple of hazards to watch for, mud wasps occasionally nest in the flakes and there is some poison ivy in the less travelled areas.

Getting There Suggest change

Roadside Rock is located adjacent to Highway 155 between Northrup Point and Jones Bay. The highway runs through a road cut and there is a reasonably sized gravel parking area on the west side of the highway. The trail to the rock leaves from this gravel parking area.
