Description
Halfway up Barnes Butte is The Big Dig, this boulder ranges from short 10ft boulder problems to overhanging highballs. Some of the untouched rock on the north and east faces are chossy. Easiest downclimb is to the right of Mine of Mine.
Getting There
Start hiking on the Dirt road after the gate in the parking lot, follow this road for about 15 min and turn right onto a different dirt road (up a steep hill) that goes to the summit of Barnes butte. The Big Dig is the obvious formation you can see from the second mine shaft and can be accessed after the road turns left.
