Description
Mungie Gully is up canyon from Silverback Gully and contains developed sport and trad climbing at the Mungie Wall, Curtains Cliff and the newly developed "High Country Lover."
Getting There
The Mungie can be approached from either the Fantasy or Silverback/Cyanide Gully. It is slightly faster to approach from the Fantasy, especially for the left side of Mungie, but you can also very easily combine a day of climbing between Silverback and Mungie.
Follow directions as for the Fantasy. When you reach the spot where the Fantasy approach takes a hard left and begins to follow the fixed hand lines, take a right and traverse straight across the talus instead - this will drop you off right in the middle of Mungie left. If you traverse a bit lower down you will hit Mungie right. There are a few variations to access the climbing here. For Mungie Wall and Curtains Cliff follow approach directions for Silverback but head up the next gully.
