Description

This is the north side of Schneeberg, meaning the actual walls stay in almost permanent shade. The Fadensteig trail crosses this section of the Schneeberg and serves as one of the easiest trails to reach the top. There is also a very small sports crag at the first rock-tower, as well as a another alpine trad crag further up.

Getting There

Drive to Losenheim and continue until the parking lots of the Salamander cable car. Park there and either hike up the skying slope or take the cable car. Either way you will reach the mountain hut Edelweißhütte, from where the trail Fadensteig starts. Use that trail to reach the area.
