Description Suggest change

A mostly shapeless, forested peak with a sheer north face just west of Mount Index. There are many rambling hiking routes up the back sides, but the north face is home to a difficult Bryan Burdo alpine rock climb, the Hexorcist. A large portion of the foothills are logging territory or privately owned; thus access is frequently an issue. Many ascents depend on logging roads being open and accessible. There is a supposed trail that leads up the southwest side. People also frequently traverse from Persis to the main peak of Index.

Getting There Suggest change

Up to date information on logging roads is essential. Generally the idea is to drive as high as possible and then bushwhack or follow ridges to the summit.
