Description
This subarea includes some of the smaller loop trails in and around the Barr Trail. It does not include The Manitou Reservoir Trail or the French Creek Trail. The area in and around the Rocky Mountain area are full of large boulders to climb and projects that I have not seen posted anywhere I have looked.
Getting There
Take the Manitou Incline or the Barr Trail out of Manitou Springs up into Pike National Forest proper. Take one of the first three rights, and head north(ish) onto some small loop trails that take you near or around Rocky Mountain (9,250 feet). Note that some of these trails are poorly defined.
