Description
Shark Sector is a south facing section of gray limestone that hosts half a dozen routes with room for more growth. The grades range from french 5's to 7's and some of the climbs have an alpine feel to there single pitch experience. The approach is short and the view is spectacular making for a nice day of climbing.
Getting There
Shark Sector is located to the south of the dam. Park at the last switchback befor the lake and walk around a 2-m tall natural wall with a powerline pole on it before treversing uphill along the base of the cliff for 5-7 minutes. This is the first buttress that you will arrive at. Be careful while crossing the loose scree not to knock rocks down on the road below. The cliff face is clearly visible from the drive in as you approach the reservoir.
