Access Issue: Display Discover Pass, do not block gates, and park off the road Details

DNR wants to pass on a friendly reminder to display your Discover Pass, not block any gates, and park well off the road to prevent getting ticketed or towed. Access Fund and Washington Climbers Coalition continue to partner with DNR on stewardship and management of the Gold Bar Boulders and their access sites. Description

25-30 foot granite boulder in the shady woods

Getting There

Approximately 400 yards before the split in the road to go to the East/West Forest Gold bar boulders, left side of the road when hiking up to the Gold Bar boulders duck into the wood just after a small creek that drains under the gravel road. Follow the foot path 50 feet to the boulder.

Closed Projects

Their is 3 projects on the Boulder I’m working on. Two arete problems, and one problem up to an undercling on Common Courtesy then traverse left and up to the top. These are closed projects in the works.
