Description Suggest change

The Carlton Peak Quarry is an old 3M quarry. Rock from the quarry was used to construct Taconite Harbor, the Tofte Ranger Station, and several other projects.

Getting There Suggest change

From Highway 61 just south of Tofte, take Forest Road 1201 just past the parking for the Carlton Peak climbs, and the cliff will be obvious. High clearance vehicles are recommended, but with careful driving, most cars can make it up.
