Umpqua Kalmiopsis (Kalmiopsis fragrans) is a rare flowering shrub that roots in deep cracks and should be avoided while climbing.

Description

From the pullout on Forest Service Road West Limpy is the first and nearest of the three primary outcrops of the Limpy Rock Complex. The Upper West Limpy can be accessed easily and has a few sport routes. Climbing the larger Lower West Limpy requires more adventurous climbing, but their is potential for development with interesting multipitch lines.

Getting There

From the pullout on Forest Service Road 4713-120 hike directly down the ridge. The first larger rock face that you will get to on the right will be the North face of the Upper W. Limpy, which has a few nice sport routes.
