Description
A sharp granite spire south of Mount Sloan. The name honors Bralorne climber Gerben Land, who made the second and third ascents (both solos) of the peak in the late 1950s and 1960, before dying in a climbing accident elsewhere.
Getting There
Either traverse benches south of Upper Ault Lake around the intervening ridge spur to reach the basin north of Mount Land, or follow ridge line south from Green Mountain to reach Land's eastern side. An approach directly from the Hurley River Road, bushwacking up through steep forest to reach the valley south of Land, has also been used.
