Description Suggest change

The B-7 Pillar is an infrequently climbed butte above Iceberg Lake.

Getting There Suggest change

The Pillar can be approached from the east via the Iceberg Notch or the west from the Highline Trail to the Ahern Pass Trail starting from The Loop.

Note: If you approach via the Ahern Pass Trail, depending on the time of year/snowpack/etc., you may have to cross the Ahern Drift, a 45-degree snowfield that crosses the trail. Crossing this snowfield may require crampons and axes even into late July.

For more specific approach directions, refer to J. Gordon Edward's "A Climber's Guide to Glacier National Park."
