Description Suggest change

The Sunshower Cliffs are located on the South side of Stanley Canyon. The north face can be clearly seen from the first rest stop before the trail turns West and heads into the canyon. The area is hard to access but has good crack climbing and great views of the canyon.

The area is named after the phenomenon in which rain falls on a sunny cloudless day.

Getting There Suggest change

Follow the Stanley Canyon trail for 1.2 miles, and turn to the South where the trail meets with the creek. Scramble to the Southwest until you reach the Sunshower Cliff at approximately GPS coordinates 38.98385, -104.90750.

Getting to this area requires a lot of bushwhacking. A .gpx file with a decent approach route is posted.
