Description
Forested, mossy, south-ish facing wall 3 minutes past the Pumphouse crag, around the left and uphill a bit from where the approach meets the Pumphouse.
Contains about a half-dozen bolted lines in the 20-30 meter range.
It is possible to walk and scramble around the left side of the crag to reach a ledge with trees above the cliff. You can then rappel to anchors at the top of some of the climbs.
Would be a good idea to bring a brush to clean moss off most of the routes if you are heading here.
Getting There
Locate the approach to Pumphouse, which is 1/4 mile before the Excelsior day use area sign. If you park in one of the dirt turnouts, looking across the road you should see the cliffs above you. The climbers trail is a little down the road to the left, starting just to the right of a huge tree that is standing in front of some boulders. The trail starts at about (48.90587, -121.82672). Scramble up onto the boulders to the right of the huge tree, and follow the trail wrapping left behind the tree. Follow the trail to lookers left, and look for a mossy crag. When you find the wooden bench in front of the mossy, bolted wall, you'll know you are there!
