Description Suggest change

One of the more challenging back country areas to get to. Hard to find an easy way in. Lots of downfall and lots of rock! A true wonderland.

Getting There Suggest change

One of the best approaches found so far is to park at the lower end of Grizzly Bear Creek Trail #7 at Camp Remington. From here, hike 4 miles, a little beyond where you would intersect with Trail #14. It is longer but much flatter and avoids a lot of uphill on the way out. Where the North Fork comes close to the trail, turn right up the drainage heading NW and start bushwhacking, following the North Fork the entire time. It is far easier to stay about 60 feet above the North Fork on the right (NE) side. Nice walking if you do this. The area will be the first rocks you get to. Most of the climbing that has been done is on the SW side of the creek high up on the hill top with the exception of Lorelei. Expect difficult and steep bushwhacking from the creek bottom to get to the larger rocks.
