Getting There
Follow the description for Peannacle point:
"From the parking lot take the trail closest to the restroom. Go uphill and take a right onto a gravel road. This joins up with another gravel road (keep going straight, don't take the hairpin turn). After a few minutes, you will see two trails leading into the forest--take the second one. Someone carved Mt WA into the right hand tree so you won't miss it. This is trail that takes you to the Bob's Wall area and you will pass a few crags along the way.
Close to the end of your hike is a fork in the trail. There is a tree with a sign (newish piece of wood installed in 2017) nailed to it about face height. The wood sign says Mt WA and points to your right. The tree also has a black P carved into it about a foot off the ground, and this arrow pointing left. Take this left fork and follow it to the second turnoff. Take this turnoff uphill and over some fallen tree trunks to reach Peannacle (should just be a couple of minutes from this point). "
From Peannacle wall continue right past all the routes staying close to the rock formation on your left. You should see lost resort infront of you but continue to stay close to the rock formation on your left and go up a little gully formed between the two cliffs (it is kinda overgrown lots of roots). Once through the gully the trail cuts back left over the top of Pennacle point. From the top of the Pennacle cliff head up through the woods, you should see a tiny boulder within 2 minutes of hiking, then two minutes past that boulder is Alpina.
