Description

Mt. Hunter is about 30km East of the town of Golden and sports a significant number of pure ice and mixed routes, all of which generally have significant approaches and are on the more difficult side of the spectrum. For those up for the challenge however, you will likely find some world class climbing all to yourself.

Getting There

Drive West along Hwy 1 past the Western gates of Yoho National Park and Mt Hunter will be on your right, alternatively head East from Golden for about 30km. There are a couple pullouts on the side of the highway that can be used depending on what route you are approaching.
