Description
This is the larger east trench of the pair of hundred foot long north-south trenches that are found in the saddle on the ridge and separated by a fin of rock. Hard golden rock lines the east side, and softer rippled rock lines the west side. The walls are shorter at the ends and crest at about 35’. These trenches are the result of clay mining in the late 1800s.
