Description

Who would have thought, following the Saint-Lawrence around its narrowing west of Quebec city, the southern shore is blessed with a fairly high embankment. This embankment is made up of loose scree held together with tough vegetation and luckily frozen water/turf in the winter.

Getting There

South shore of the Saint-Lawrence along route 132 between Trois-Riviere and Quebec City.

Parking is tolerated on the roadside in front of the stream leading to "La Cathédrale de Mordor". Please keep your vehicle on the shoulder of the road as much as possible, to avoid obstructing the road. Be extremely discreet and respectful when crossing the field, as access is sensitive.
