Description Suggest change

Kaibab limestone right across from the Vermillion Cliffs. Expect big holds with some choss, and the bolting is a little "roomy." My guess is there was not a ton of cleaning of these routes but they are still pretty fun. Quick easy approach and a nice camping scene. The canyon itself is quite beautiful.

JJ dropped a comment on the N Kaibab main page with some more info.

Getting There Suggest change

Right before you start going up hill on 89A towards Jacob Lake, take a right on House Rock road. Drive perhaps 5-10 minutes and take a left on a two-track road right before a cattle-guard. If you hit the condor viewing area you went about 2-3 minutes past it. Follow the road to it's end, hop the fence, follow the fence to the right (N) until you hit a sandy/gravelly wash. Take a left and follow the wash all the way up in to the canyon. Easy walking, perhaps 15 minutes. All the climbs are on the pocketed N side of the canyon. You can also see the rock from the parking.

GPS point is on the parking spot.
