Description Suggest change

The cave stays mostly dry on rainy days and is mostly shady all day. Step climbing on mostly high quality limestone describes this area.

BEES: there's an active hive up top on the outside wall a bit left of Tocineta picante and around the corner. It shouldn't affect any routes. Just FYI.

Getting There Suggest change

Park at the kiosks at Paseo Lineal Corretjer:

Walk through the gap between the food truck and the kiosk next to it. Be courteous, as there are people working in there. Turn left and a few steps later you'll be next to the seating area that's behind the kiosks.

Walk forward to be in line with the seating area and you'll see a set of steps descending the hillside. Take it slow and analyze your steps carefully; don't trip on vines. This steep tricky section is very short. It leads to the start of a forested flat section, equally short. Head to the right towards the stones and you'll pick up the trail. After tracing along the top edge of the Curiosity Wall, the trail continues onward and down the west side of the rock.

The trail splits here, and if you continue down the side of the rock it will very quickly place you at the bottom of the Curiosity Wall. If you take the other trail, you'll soon find yourself at the base of the Food Truck Wall. Continuing further on the trail leads to the cave sector. It's a small opening in the rock at ground level. Descend into it and walk forward a few steps to where it opens up into the main chamber of the cave.

⚠️ The initial drop in is steep and tricky! Take it one step at a time! ⚠️

⚠️ Pay attention when you're walking along the edge of the wall! ⚠️

⚠️ The section that takes you to the bottom is quite tricky too. ⚠️

Here are two maps of the trail:

Still unsure? If the leftmost kiosk is open, the gentleman working in there will be happy to point you to the start of the trail if you say hi and ask.
