Description
Amasa Valley is located on BLM land, north of Notch Peak and West Sawtooth Canyon. Most visitors are off-roaders and ranchers, but climbers have also visited to check out the granite domes and walls. The rock is by no means the same quality as Little Cottonwood, but visiting climbers will certainly find adventure and solitude.
Getting There
From old Highway 6/50, turn southwest onto North Canyon Road, before entering Marjum Canyon. Follow North Canyon road into Amasa Valley.
The BLM map linked below will aid you. You are aiming for Pine Peak.

The road is normally passable when dry in a high clearance, 2-wheel drive vehicle. If the roads are washed out by spring runoff, you may need 4-wheel drive.
An ATV or UTV will reduce approach times.
