Description
A 'mogote' hill by the entrance to the park, separate from the main climbing sectors. This area gets very little traffic so you might want to bring a machete in case the trail is overgrown. Just before the sport climbing area is a bouldering area.
Getting There
Park your car at the first parking lot, right by the park's entrance gate. Spot the bunker right past the parking lot. Walk up the paved road to the left of the bunker. Take a slight right onto the mountain bike trail. Keep your eyes and ears open for bicyclists. Continue past the first trail on your right. A bit further, you'll see an overgrown crossover and a clean path parallel to the trail you're on, on your right side. Take the few steps through the crossover path and make a sharp right onto the clean bike trail. Walk a minute or two and you'll arrive at the pin on the map linked below. If you see an imposing ceiba tree (they're easily identifiable by their unique root system) on your left (let's say 20 feet away from the path), you've gone a bit too far.
At this point on the bike trail, you'll spot an overgrown trail on your right side. This trail takes you to the bouldering area first, and further uphill leads to the sport climbing area.
