Description
Every winter a few ice climbs form around Rock Springs and Green River. All are short, but provide great local access to steep ice for training.
The Cruel Jack's climbs are the most consistent and are usually climbable after New Years.
The rest of the climbs require significant snowfall, then a week or two of thawing followed by a heavy late winter snow storm. The best conditions usually occur late February into March.
