Description Suggest change

Best ice in Rock Springs.  Narrow pillar that rarely forms and when it does you better get on it quick.   Needs a rope hung on it so that it will touch down before it falls off.

Forms only during years of significant snowfall.  Comes in during February/March freeze thaw cycling.  A blizzard occurring after a warm week creates the ideal conditions.  Get on it fast though, it won't stay standing long.

Location Suggest change

Obvious amphitheatre about a mile behind Knight Oil Tools off of Foothill Blvd.

Protection Suggest change

Never seen it form well enough to take screws. Rock V- threads for top anchors. Bring new webbing and a threading tool.
