Description

large approximately 90 foot tall dacitic tuff boulder in the trees on the N slope overlooking Soda Spring Reservoir. A single thin 1/4 to 4" crack splits the rock.
A great place to be to beat the heat.

Getting There

Drive east on the North Umpqua Highway towards Toketee. 1.5 miles past Boulder Flats Campground (mp 55) turn left onto Medicine Creek Road. Continue straight, crossing the bridge continuing up Medicine Creek Road for exactly 1.00 mile. Park in the left pullout. From the pullout walk 115 feet to the break in slope where you will see one of three rocks below. drop down and contour the slope to your right until you come to the middle rock. This will be Medicine Rock. Facing down slope Crazy Crack will be on the right side of the rock. Approximately 40 minutes from Roseburg.
