Description
When coming up to the top of the mountain from the path around back, you will have 3 options.
1) Turn left to the mirador (viewpoint) of the city.
2) Continue straight, down, and to the left to reach Snake Sector.
3) Turn right to follow the path to the ET Zone.
This crag gets full-day sun and has very little shade. It currently has one bolted route which goes at 10d and is easily the best climb at the crag. Bring lots of water and a bucket hat!
Getting There
Follow the obvious path around the side of the mountain until you turn left and come up through an open tunnel with walls of rock on both sides. Continue up to the top of the mountain and then you have two options:
1) IF YOU HAVE TWO ROPES ONLY. Continue straight and then hook right instead of turning left to Snake Sector. Scramble down the rock and squeeze through the small walkway between the two walls to reach an open top area. You are now above the climb. Using the second rope, build an anchor and rap off the pair of trees having your dynamic rope and gear in tow. Leave the first rope hanging while you climb and then prusik or ascend the rope to leave the area. The rope you use to rap WILL NOT be able to be pulled through due to some small cacti.
2) Turn right at the top of the mountain and bushwack your way down to the right and then left around the massive boulder. Step over the barbed wire fence and continue on the path until you reach Last Minute.
