Either approach the east and 4th-class slab/house-sized boulders, or hike in from west to the notch in the center of formation and continue down the north face between the domes.

East face of Saddleback Dome NE route and Funnel of Love on north face. Approaching Funnel from this side is slabby 4th class between house-sized boulders. Approach from west face is a zig zag up to saddle then hop down to route. Latter is easier approach @ 30-45 min.
