Description

A striking orange and white buttress with a handful of great trad and mixed face routes on high quality rock. Right of the big roof of Soddy Hotel roof crack.

Getting There

From Deep Creek Access, cross over Soddy bridge on CT, switchback up hill, then stay on CT hiking climber's right below cliff a few more minutes. Watch the cliff to your left--GS buttress is immediately right of Soddy Hotel roof crack. From Town of Soddy Access, hike up nice gravel roadbed/trail past swimming holes to bridge across tributary creek (~1 mile), then on a bit further to hit the Cumberland Trail on the slope above. Hike left or southwest on the CT. You'll pass a few sub-crags and the trail will turn hard right/west before you get under GS buttress.
