Description
*BE SURE TO GO AFTER 3PM DURING THE WARMER MONTHS, ANYTHING EARLIER IS TOASTY*
Afternoon and evening shade.
Quartzite/Welded Tuff climbing in the juniper and pine trees. All sport climbing, single pitch about 60'. This area has a lot more friction than the basalt crags near by and is mostly technical face climbing. Cliff starts going into the shade around 2 pm and is fully shaded by around 4 pm. Crag sits around 6,000' elevation so temperatures are typically 15+ degrees cooler than St George. There is also great bouldering below the cliff band.
