Description
Granite domes dot the flanks of Granite Peak. The Rock Corral area has the highest concentration of said domes, and grants easy approaches to many (within 5 minutes to most). Most of the Mineral Mountain area routes will be trad, though the Rock Corral hosts plenty of bolted routes to keep the sport climbers happy.
Getting There
Turn East off highway 21 about 1/2mi south the bridge out of Milford a brown sign points the way labeled "Rock Corral". Follow the dirt road a few mile to another large brown BLM sign stating "Rock Corral" left, then once more at the fork pointing the way to the day use area and the camping area. All turns are well marked. Total distance from Milford to the Rock Corral is about 12 miles.
