Description

Steins Overlook is a formation adjacent to Steins Pillar that overhangs on nearly all aspects. It contains two climbs up to two hundred feet tall on the nearly perma-shaded north aspect, as well as a couple single pitch sport routes.

With the exception of The Shining, routes on Steins Overlook were developed through extensive trundling. The rock removal from each route could be measured in tons. This crag is not for everyone. Expect kitty litter and loose rock. Wear a helmet!

All grades are currently tentative as the routes await repeats. Please feel free to leave feedback on grades and they will be adjusted once a consensus is reached.

Getting There

Steins Overlook is located just off the main trail to Steins Pillar. Follow the trail until the West face of Steins Pillar proper comes into full view, about five hundred feet away. The rock that one stands on to see Steins Pillar is the aptly named Steins Overlook.
