Description

The best crag in the area by far with close to 20 routes on it's steep, clean south and southeast faces which conveniently enough is also one of the closest to the parking area.

Untch Rock is named for Steve Untch, an active local climber in the area who died in 1994 on K2 while selflessly assisting an injured climber.

Getting There

Starting from the parking area hike west along a worn trail which climbs a small incline then heads downhill and curves right (north) as the crag comes into view; switchback up the slope above to the base of the crag.

The slightly uphill approach takes roughly 10 minutes from the parking area.
