Getting There
Three ways to approach:
Take dirt Forestdale road from Red Lake turn-off. This road has been getting progressively worse over the years, now (in 2017) I would want an Outback or a 2WD drive that I don't care about. Drive to Foresdale Creek, park here and walk for another 1 mile or so on the road to a parking area that is in the LAST grove of trees by the road. Or if you have a real 4WD, you can drive to here.
Drive Foresdale road from the other side, from Blue Lakes. 4WD required.
Hike in from Carson pass, either on PCT heading south or drop in from Winnemuca Lake.
From the parking area that is in the LAST grove of trees by the road, follow a distinct use trail west, until you hit PCT (takes about 5-10 minutes). From here, head either south (e.g. for Gold Wall or Green Wall cliff) or north (e.g. for Elephant Toes).
