One of the smallest countries in the world, and sandwiched between Austria and Switzerland, Lichtenstein is a country few people have heard of and even fewer have visited.

However, being smack in the middle of the Alps, it too has climbing opportunities should one happen to be there.

Lichtenstein is officially neutral and uses the Swiss Franc as its currency. It is not part of the European Union and its official language is German, albeit a dialect more closely related to Swiss and Austrian than High German.
