Description
It is the group of the giants of El Cajon. Enormous formations rise immediately to the right of the valley once you overcome the first plug.
Their walls of great development reach the 500 meters, on a rock that varies in quality, of a darker granite and sometimes monolithic and vertical.
There are only a few routes in the area, where there the traditional style applies, as well as big wall techniques due to their extreme steepness, such as the North face of Murallon.

Getting There
Cerro Punta Negra is one of the icons of the Cajon de los Arenales. Its East wall rises for more than 1000 meters. It's characterized by inclined pillars, narrow gullies, aretes and ridges which ramify from its summit until disappearing well below in the valley.
Many needles, towers and independent summits separate from those formations.
The Grupo Murallon, which develops in the Southeast buttresses of Cerro Punta Negra, is one of the treasures of the area and it is part of the second stage of El Cajon, a stage that is conformed by all those formations that rise above the first plug.
