Description Suggest change

A relatively new sector about 30 minutes away from Mendoza. With roadside access and a wide variety of grades and angles this may be the best sport climbing destination near the city of Mendoza. Expect technical climbing on solid, skin-friendly crimps with mostly well-placed bolts. The rock is generally solid but some of the more recently developed walls still have some loose rock. New areas are being developed outside the main canyon but very little information is available. If you wish to explore the area further I recommend going on a weekend and asking a local for information or going into Mendoza and try asking at one of the gyms.

See https://goo.gl/maps/TkKJaF2kYnCQfaiN7 for where to park/get off your hitchhike and be warned that the owner of the little farm closes and locks the gate around 4/5pm, so park outside. That link also has some topos in the images

Getting There Suggest change

From the city of Mendoza take Ruta 40 South. Follow signs for Lujan de Cuyo and Santiago de Chile. Take the exit for Ruta 7 towards Santiago de Chile. Stay on this road for about 24.5 kilometers and you will see a dirt parking lot on the right side of the road up a short hill. There is a gate in the parking lot that leads to a bigger area with parking space closer to the wall. NOTE: It is highly discouraged to enter the gate and park at the bigger area!

From the parking lot, cross the gate, making sure to keep it closed, and walk up the hill to the canyon entrance and the first few sectors. The other sectors are on both sides of the canyon and require a more significant hike.
