There are at least four separate crags in this area. Take the well-trodden trail across from Take-out Beach parking area. Scramble up the break in the cliff, then head right to the stage. Keep walking above the cliff band to the Theater, and farther right to the Cinema. See "High on Moab" by Karl Kelly for more info, but be aware there's been lots of new routes added since the book was published.

Getting There Suggest change

Near mile marker 11 on UT-128 park at Take-Out Beach and find trail directly across from the parking area.  There is a sign with a carabiner at the start of the trail.  Following this newly constructed trail, which includes a short 3rd class scramble, will deposit you left of The Theater.

New approach trail start for Theatre and Cinema. This begins at the east end, upriver side of the parking area. I believe this great trail was put in with a combined effort of the Conservation Corp and BLM. Regardless a big thanks to those involved.

Short 10-15 foot class 3 scramble along the new trail. If you are climbing up large boulders then you are on the old trail. We got a 7 month old 60 lbs labradoodle up the scramble fairly easily. There are great hands and feet getting up.
