Description
A miniature Governor Dodge, pocketed and cracked sandstone. Most walls are close to vertical, with less for overhangs or slabs. In a great little park full of springs and bluffs. Not typically too busy, and very unknown for climbing, you'll be the only ones on the wall. There are several areas of the park which could be explored more, and areas high enough for roped routes.

Getting There
Donald Park of Dane Co. is located in Mount Vernon WI. Mount Horeb is the nearest town with a gas station. A map of the park can be found on the Dane County Parks website.
Bouldering can be found by parking at the equestrian entrance at the south of the park. Do not park in the horse trailer area, there's plenty of room to pull off elsewhere, such as near the bathroom. Hike back along the main trail, staying to the left of the meadow when the trail comes to it. A little further the trail cuts left up into the woods, you'll start seeing rock. One nice bouldering wall, Scary Door, lies on the south side of the ridge, easy to find if you follow the trail up and over. Other rock is everywhere, but the separate outcropping further to the south is on private land, please be respectful.
