Getting weather forecast...
DescriptionThis is a collection of limestone boulders found from the Booth Falls trailhead in East Vail. The trail itself can be quite busy on warm weekends, but several of the boulders are slightly off the beaten path, quiet, and secluded. Rock quality ranges from stellar to flaky and moss covered.
Getting ThereTake the East Vail exit off I-70, then head west on the frontage road. After passing the Vail Mountain School on the right, turn right at Booth Falls Rd. Continue straight until you see the trailhead and parking lot maybe a minute up the road. Parking can be sparse, so be prepared to park in town and take the shuttle back if it's busy.
DO NOT park in any of the locals condo spots or "visitor" parking for the Booth Creek Homes as you will certainly be towed.
Approach times vary from 10 minutes to potentially up to 45 minutes or more if exploring further up the trail.
