Description
Welcome to the Willow Creek Rock Climbing Guide. There are many great climbs for all abilities. The number after the grade is the number of possible alternative climbs off one set of top bolts.
Besides the traditional climbing grades, we have our own grades. Middle, Spicy and Hot. Middle climbs are usually in the 5.5 to 5.7 range , and the Hot climbs are in the 5.11+ range but what is a Spicy climb? A Spicy climb can be of any grade. It is not how hard of climb but how enjoyable the climb is. Like the culture around the areas good enjoyable times with family and friends.
Most of the climbs are on the old rail road cuts, built around 1910. So many of the climbs are named after rail road terms. See the Railroad glossary for definitions in the .pdf guide book.
This is a wild climbing area wearing helmets is a must if you are climbing in the canyon.
