Description Suggest change

Nice place to go for coarse vertical cracks in limestone. Routes are mostly single pitch, and all can be done as single with an 80m rope. Beautiful blue and yellow limestone in places; most but not all routes bolted, and most could be done on gear. So, basically what counts as a trad climbing mecca in Switzerland.

Very much worth a visit if in eastern Switzerland and things up high are not in good shape. A good alternative for Rätikon, or an easy day on your way back to calm the nerves...

The routes described here are in the main sector, Matlusch. There are ~ 25 routes here.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive to Bad Ragaz, and exit east across a river. A few km from the highway. Car camping possible (not explicitly banned, but be careful) near a vineyard along the river, before getting into the town of Fläsch.
