Description
Two small granit crags located on top of local Zijinshan, located within the city limits.
First crag quite short with 16 routes ranging from 5.8 to 5.12c, first bolted around 2010.
Guidebook can be found on below link (in Chinese). A few new routes have been bolted since then.
rock-lizard.org/bbs/thread-…
A few additionnal routes have been added since then.
The routes on the right part of the crag are not ofthen climbed. They got a bit mussy and might be slightly slippery.
The 11.b is a very nice climb that should not be missed. A quicklink as been set at the end of the roof, if you need to bail at crux.

Getting There
The place is quite tricky to go to on a first time, especially without detailed information.
First take the train to Nanjing central (南京站), it costs around 140RMB from Shanghai for the high speed train. Then take a taxi (15RMB) to the bottom of Zijinshan (紫金山). You can ask the driver to drop you at the cable car (索道). At that point, you can either take the cable car to the top of the mountain (顶公园), it opens at 9am and closes at 6pm. Or you can also hike your way up, which takes between 45 and 60 minutes depending on the path you choose.
Buses 48 and 59 can also drop you near the park, get down at Tianpingmen station (天平们) and walk east to the cable car.
The crag is located off the main path between Ximayao (戏马腰) and the top of the mountain. There is a small red lace tied to a tree at the intersection you should turn left on (when hiking up). See pictures for more information. Follow this path for a few minutes, and turn left at the first intersection you see, the crag is a bit further down.
