Description

Sunny rock climbing at 13,000'!

Located in Kohanar (Konar, Khonar depending on how you spell it) there are a couple of more moderate routes than what you can find at the North Face crag near Phortse. 4 rock routes, one ice climb, and room for more! Fairly secluded from winds.

Getting There

Ultimately, walk out of Phortse towards Gokyo Ri, staying on the Phortse side of the drainage. You will follow a pretty straightforward trail, slowly gaining elevation. Once you hit the summer village of Konar, go through it towards Tawoche peak. Eventually following this valley you'll find the climbs. Pretty hard to miss them, it's the most direct rock face in the valley.
