Description Suggest change

This is the large arch right (south) of Gertch's Half Brother. It faces west and can be easily seen when walking up the fan to Gertch's Folly.

Getting There Suggest change

Hike up the gully between Gertch's Folly and Gertch's Half Brother, then follow the rock south until one is under the arch feature.

On the FA day, we stayed on the flats until we could walk up a small canyon directly to the arch. One should be prepared for cat's claw!

Gertch's Arch as seen from just south of the approach trail. Note that from the approach trail itself (blue to orange here http://www.mountainproject.com/v/111538484), the Arch will be hidden behind a foreground rock formation. To get to the Arch, either scramble over the foreground stuff (3rd/4th) or take a right into the gully and walk the south side of the foreground stuff.
