DescriptionThe BreezeBlocks is a high quality hang with enough climbing to keep one busy for a few sessions or fun seasonal circuit. The climbing is on Schnebly member making for a classic Sedona experience different from other areas like The Anvils or Grasshopper.
Technically one giant block that has split apart providing a mix of face, arete, and crack climbing. Other boulders nearby also house several fun but very moderate climbs.
Situated below The Flying Buttress on a sunny, south facing hillside overlooking Bear Wallow Canyon and Schnebly Hill Rd with a great view of The Cow Pie and West towards Mooses Butte.
The aspect makes for a great Winter spot. Orientation of the boulders provides both sun and shade. As the name implies a nice breeze is usually found humming through the blocks. Be sure to stick around for the evening sunset and possible vortex encounter.
Getting ThereDrive up Schnebly Hill Road past the Moose's Butte. (Mid-clearance required) Park at the Cow Pie trail head. The BreezeBlocks will be in view from parking.
Follow the Cow Pie trail towards Flying Buttress. Continue on below Eraser Head and Arch Enemy. Take small wash North just to the side of the boulders. 20-45min hike.
