Description
Sunny Side faces southwest and has shade until around noon in the summer.
The majority of the routes on both the Shady and Sunny Sides are used during the Pocatello Pump and over the years the routes were given numbers that were eventually fixed to the base of climbs on small metal tags (or discretely painted on). Only a few routes have alternate names. This guide will give the number and alternative name (if it exists).
The routes on the Sunny Side can be identified by a small a number painted at the base of the cliff. The numbering scheme was started years ago and over time, as new routes were established between lines, the numbering convention was modified with the addition of a letter, e.g. 17A.
Most of the routes on the Sunny Side are very short bolted sport climbs (3 to 5 bolts) between 5.7 and 5.12. They can be led or top roped.
Be extremely careful leading these short routes and pay close attention to every every clip.
Ground fall potential exists even when clipping the second or even the last bolt and often, thin exciting top outs are required when leading the routes as the top anchors are usually over the top edge of the wall.
Use your discretion deciding whether to clip the top anchors while hanging from the top edge by one hand or completely topping out by mantling on or pulling over the top of the crag. Scope it out first.
Climb at your own risk!
Above each climb over the top of the cliff are numerous bolt hangers for setting up a top rope. Access the top of the cliffs by scrambling up the occasional 4th class weakness in the cliff band and walking across the top of the cliffs to the desired climb.
Each route has 3 - 4 fixed anchors at the top so slings, cordelette(s) and locking biners are all that is needed to set up bomber TR anchors.
Routes 9 - 46A are on the Main Wall Area.
Routes 46B - 61 are on the Middle Wall Area.
Routes 62A - 75 ar on the Ivy League Wall.
There is a Porta-Potty at the parking lot for the Sunny Side.

Getting There
The Sunny Side is located on South 2nd in Pocatello. Drive through Ross Park and continue south past the swimming pool and zoo. Just past the south entrance to Ross Park is a dirt parking lot below the obvious crags on the left. A short hike from the parking lot (400 feet) leads to the Main Wall Area. The Middle Wall and Ivy League are futher south down the cliff band another couple hundred feet.
